IN-VEHICLE USB & DIGITAL CONSENT PRODUCTS
IN-VEHICLE USB
Ford's USB team is responsible for engineering USB capabilities in the company's in-vehicle infotainment systems. During my 2021 summer internship, I worked in this team with Louis Bellanca (my supervisor) and Matt Liwienski. My projects were in support of the implementation of a new diagnostics feature to test USB performance in a SYNC media module that would be placed in future infotainment systems.
PROJECTS
Project #1
I developed a specification on how to read the USB media module diagnostics data
Project #2
I coded (using the C++ language) a custom Windows Visual Studio Window Forms query program to display the raw and converted USB hub media module diagnostics data
Project #3
I created a design for a Human Machine Interface (HMI) to display the USB media module diagnostics data
DIGITAL CONSENT PRODUCTS
The Digital Consent product line at Ford is a team that creates, develops, and manages products that deal with gathering digital consents from customers for reasons such as collecting sensitive data for connected vehicle experiences. The team, which I worked in during my 2022 summer internship, consists of one product line owner (my supervisor, Lynn Turnbull), one product owner (Dinesh Srirangapalle) and one product manager (Ratan Gone). I most closely worked on Digital Consent products related to managing one's privacy settings in Ford's FordPass app.
